Hi, I would like the following information.
In the last 5 years:
-What percentage of trainee controllers assigned to the District line passed training on the job/line training.
-What percentage of the successful trainee controllers have previously worked in the District line.
-What percentage of the unsuccessful trainer controllers on the District line are from a black and ethic minority or women.
And
-What percentage of trainee controllers assigned to the Met line passed training on the job/line training.
-What percentage of the successful trainee controllers have previously worked in the Met line.
-What percentage of the unsuccessful trainer controllers on the Met line are from a black and ethic minority or women.
Please note that I’m after the percentages that passed/failed training on the line/job, not the classroom part of the training.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 November 2019 asking for information about BME Trainee controllers.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we are unable to answer your request. Our records do not show all courses and the associated pass / fail status. Therefore, in order to answer your request we would firstly need to know the specific course name(s).
We would subsequently need to obtain all the employee numbers for relevant staff for the five year period to begin to ascertain the successful and unsuccessful trainees so that we could then run reports to check for their previous employment within LU and their ethic background etc.
The information held is not recorded in such a way that would enable us to answer your request. Where information is held, it is likely that it would take an excessive amount of time and resource to collate the information you have requested.
