Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 February 2017 asking for a list of all pocket tube maps released since 1931.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Henry C. Beck submitted a presentation drawing of his diagrammatic map to the Underground Publicity Office in 1931.
His design was first issued to the public as a pocket map in January 1933. It has been issued annually since then, with typically two issues a year.
The first combined Underground railway map was issued in 1908 as a geographic map. The list attached gives details of significant editions from 1908 to 2012.
Changes since 2012 include:
2015 Additional suburban lines taken over by TfL are added to Overground services. London Rail from Liverpool Street to Shenfield is another new addition.
2016 London Trams added in green for the first time.
2016 (October) First Night Tube map issued showing services for Central, Jubilee and Victoria lines
2016 (December) Second Night Tube map issued showing services for Central, Jubilee, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines.
