Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4 December 2018.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

The Gospel Oak to Barking line has been closed on a number of occasions in the last three years. Can you provide who was responsible for the replacement buses and who organised and paid for them.

The London Overground railway network is operated on TfL’s behalf by its concessionaire Arriva Rail London. It provides a specification of what rail replacement buses are required, with TfL arranging bus supply through a competitive tendering process. Ultimately, TfL pays for these replacement buses.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
