Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16th February 2021 asking for information about Moorgate Station.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

(1) Has there ever been a breach of health and safety with regards to asbestos at moorgate station between 1 August 2017 and 31 August 2017 during refurbishment work?

(2) Has there ever been a breach of health and safety with regards to asbestos at moorgate station since January 2015 that you are aware of?

We are interpreting the term “breach of health and safety with regards to asbestos” to mean a breach of either the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 or the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 – resulting in enforcement action, notice or intervention from a regulatory authority. There has been no such breach of health and safety with regards to asbestos at London Underground’s Moorgate station since January 2015 to current during refurbishment or any other work.
