Dear Transport for London, Can you tell me how much grit under the control of the Mayors Office has been used in the last 8 yrs on a monthly basis to clear roads of ice and snow.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15 December 2022 asking for information about road gritting spend.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:
Can you tell me how much grit under the control of the Mayors Office has been used in the last 8 yrs on a monthly basis to clear roads of ice and snow.

Please note that we do not yet hold the figures from 2022/23 as they won't be available until April 2023. Please also note that the data for year 2015/16 has become corrupt so that financial year has been excluded.
