Dear Transport for London, I would like to request some information regarding the Line Information Specialist role. 1) Could you please provide a list of all of the times this role was advertised, including specifying if it was advertised internal only, or internal and external, for the past 10 years 2) For the three most recent campaigns, how many people applied, how many were successful at each stage, how many were considered, and how many were eventually hired in to the role? Out of those hired in to roles, could you please confirm which lines they were hired in to? (aka which lines the campaigns filled roles for)

Thank you for your request received by us on 12 February 2021 asking for information about recruitment for the Line Information Specialist (LIS) role at London Underground.
                                                                       
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

information regarding the Line Information Specialist role.

1) Could you please provide a list of all of the times this role was advertised, including specifying if it was advertised internal only, or internal and external, for the past 10 years

2) For the three most recent campaigns, how many people applied, how many were successful at each stage, how many were considered, and how many were eventually hired in to the role?

Please refer to the first table in the attached PDF for further information.

Out of those hired in to roles, could you please confirm which lines they were hired in to? (aka which lines the campaigns filled roles for)

The second table in the attached document provides details of the requested locations.

In accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection Legislation, some personal information in the attached document has been withheld, as required by section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’. This is an absolute exemption and therefore not subject to a public interest test.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity.
