Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:
Please can you tell me the annual wage of every single Tube driver on the London Underground in the last financial year. Please include their job title and salary.
Please find the requested information in the tables below which shows the London Underground Train Operator and Instructor Operator salaries by pay scale group. Since Train Operators and Instructor Operators both fall under the same grade we have considered both and split them in different tables. In line with our usual practice, where data relates to a very small number of people (and hence identification is possible) and where the salary is less than £50k per annum, we have redacted figures under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act, the exemption that protects against the unfair release of personal data. Please note that any employees who were employed during the year but were not employed at the end of the year will not be included in the headcount.
Also during the pandemic almost 70% of TO23 grades were seconded into TO21 grade. Hence the numbers of TO21 include seconded TO23’s during that financial year.
