TfL Ref: FOI-2301-2122

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11 January 2022.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:

1) Can you list TfL London Bus routes accepting non-TfL bus tickets? (E.g. Essex County Council Saver Ticket and Surrey County Council Acorn Ticket)
2) Can you list the London Bus routes which cross the Greater London Boundary?
3) Can you release guidance for bus drivers to allow passengers to use non-TfL tickets (including concessions such as companion) on selected cross-boundary London Bus routes?

For the above four questions, please see the attached driver notices which are issued to the bus operating companies who are contracted to run the routes that cross the Greater London boundary. The notices also detail where they accept non-TfL passes and PLUSBUS tickets and the routes and locations between which the tickets will be accepted.

5) Do TfL receive revenue from non-London Local and Country Councils (E.g. Essex County Council) for accepting non-TfL bus tickets on cross-boundary London Bus routes? Yes.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
