Thank you for your email received by us on 10 February 2021 asking for information about the layout of bus destination blinds.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.  You asked for:

some example layouts of the artwork which is sent to McKenna brothers of how the destination blinds are laid out. By this I mean layout of the destination blind itself, for the front, side and number displays.

I have spoken to McKenna brothers about this and they have informed me the artwork comes directly from tfl and they just produce the blind from the artwork provided.

It would be useful if a set of artwork for a complete blind could be provided to show as an example of how they are laid out for each.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as the private bus operating companies liaise directly with our supplier McKenna’s to obtain the designs, not TfL. If you would like to contact any of the operators, their details can be found via the following link to our website:
