Follow-up to FOI-2042-2122: I can understand that you do not wish to spend time analysing data to extract the particular information that I requested.
May I request that you simply send me a spreadsheet with one years data on all the related work, and I will extract the information I seek.
I presume it will not take too long just to copy what you have into a spreadsheet.
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2282-2122
Thank you for your further request of 7th January 2022 asking for information about spending on bus and cycle lanes.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can now provide you with the following information. For the year 2021/22 TfL are forecasting to invest £85m in cycling infrastructure. This reflects the latest forecast position for the present financial year (ending on March 31st 2022). Note that this is not spending on cycle lanes alone (which, as explained previously, is not something we are able to provide within the costs limit). Rather, this represents spending on all cycling infrastructure on the road network.
In terms of bus lanes and associated infrastructure, for the year 2021/22 TfL are forecasting to invest £44.4m under our “Highways and Structure Maintenance” spending. Note that this does not represent spending on new ‘bus lanes’ alone. Rather, it includes spending on maintaining bus lanes, renewing bus lanes, building new bus lanes and other associated works.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
