Our ref: FOI-2277-1718/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14 November 2017 asking for information about speed cameras.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.
The speed limit on the section of the A2 from the Blackwall Tunnel to just prior to the junction with the A2018 is 50mph, with the average speed system set up accordingly.
Speed limit data for TfL roads may be viewed online using the TfL London Digital Speed Limit Map, http://content.tfl.gov.uk/digital-speed-limit-map.pdf , or via OpenStreetMap.
Speeding fines are issued by the Metropolitan Police, and TfL does not hold information on how many tickets have been issued. You may therefore wish to make an FOI request to them, which can be done via their website here: https://www.met.police.uk/request/request-information-about-the-met/
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
