You asked
Could you please provide me the following under freedom of information law. For the calendar year 2019 to the end of October, or alternatively the latest available date.
1, The highest total remuneration received by a Tube driver
2, The number receiving total remuneration of over: A, £100,000; B, £80,000; and then C, between £70,000 to £80,000; and D, between £60,000 and £70,000.
3, The total number of Tube drivers employed by TFl.

Thank you for your request of 29th October 2019 asking for information about the remuneration of London Underground train operators.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Please note that we publish data annually on all roles with a salary over £50,000 a year. Data for 2018/19 is published at: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/senior-staff
A Train Operator’s full time salary is £55,011 and the average salary received by the 3,996 Train Operators employed by TfL is £52,329.
In response to your specific questions please see the following data which is based on entire, full-year salaries for the financial year 2019/20, together with any additional payments (overtime, bonuses etc.) paid in the calendar year 2019 to date (Note that the data includes trainees who earn £33,375 until they qualify. Once qualified they start earning £55k.):
Question 1: The highest total remuneration received by a Tube driver?
Answer: £65,101 (including bonuses, allowances, overtime payments)
Question 2: The number receiving total remuneration of over:
A) £100,000
Answer: 0
B) £80,000
Answer: 0
C) between £70,000 to £80,000
Answer: 0
D) between £60,000 and £70,000
Answer: 18 (0.5%)
Question 3: The total number of Tube drivers employed by TfL.
Answer: 3,996.
