You asked
I request the maintenance records of the speed camera at A406 near j/w Western Av. NW11 to A406 nr Apsley Way NW2 W/B (11011111). On 09/12/2020 at 22:10, this speed camera flashed my vehicle while the traffic lights were green. A lot of vehicles were also flashed. I need this information to prove my innocence. I was not travelling at 48m/hr as the camera recorded. I was rolling with other drivers as we crossed the traffic.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 February 2021 asking for maintenance records of the speed camera at A406 near j/w Western Av. NW11 to A406 nr Apsley Way NW2 W/B.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.
There are four Average Speed Cameras at the location and attached is a map for reference.
However, we do not hold the Camera Periodic Inspection reports or the calibration certificates for these cameras. The Periodic inspection reports including calibration certificates are all held by the Met Police as the owners of the data, and these are required by the police for the enforcement of the camera.
You may therefore wish to refer your request to the Met Police.
The only data we do hold is from our Fault Management system that shows the installation dates and any physical faults raised. These records show that one of the cameras (28/739910) had a fault reported on 4 November 2020 that stated “very dark poor images”.There are no other reports on any of these cameras that would affect the operation of the camera on the street, and no outstanding reported faults on 9 December 2020.
If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
