TfL Ref: 2253-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 December 2022 asking for information about the ‘See It Say It Sort It’ automated messages played on the Tube.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the following information:
Recently in the past couple of months you have added these new "See It Say It Sort It" messages telling you the number to text the police. I have heard them on some London Underground trains recently. There is a male voice doing this on the Northern Line 1995 trains and Piccadilly Line 1973 trains that i recently heard. But i presume it is on other lines too.
I would like to ask you about this message:
a full list of all of the London Underground lines where this message is playing onboard?
We can advise that this message is currently playing on the following London Underground lines: Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern and Piccadilly.
This message is not yet playing on the Jubilee and Victoria lines. Whilst there is currently no timescale in place, these lines will play the message once they have been updated.
• For each line can i have a full list of the exact locations where the message plays at (as i notice it seems to be programmed to play only at certain stops on the route)?
The systems used on the trains require the message to be tied to a location. These stations are:
Bakerloo: Wembley Central, Regent’s Park
Central: Greenford, West Acton, Bond Street, Newbury Park, Woodford
Circle: Bayswater, Temple, Euston Square, Shepherd’s Bush Market
District: Bayswater, Temple, Bromley-by-Bow, Upminster Bridge, Turnham Green, Wimbledon Park
Hammersmith & City: Shepherd’s Bush Market, Euston Square, Bromley-by-Bow
Metropolitan: Chorleywood, Northwick Park, Euston Square
Northern: Clapham North, Goodge Street, Borough, Archway, Belsize Park
Piccadilly: Wood Green, Gloucester Road, Sudbury Town, Hatton Cross
What is the name of this new male voiceover artist that has recorded this new automated announcement about the number to text the police?
Adrian Hieatt.
