I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. Your questions are answered in turn below:
Question 1: What amount did Transport for London spend on social media advertising in the period 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023?
Answer: TfL has spent the following on social media advertising:
- April 2020 - March 2021: £187,268
- April 2021 - March 2022: £330,102
- April 2022 - March 2023: £199,136
- April 2023 – August 2023: £267,249
Question 2: What amount did Transport for London spend on social media advertising, broken down by each advertising campaign?
Answer: Please see the attached spreadsheets (you may need to expand the width of some columns to read the data in full).
Question 3: What are the basic details of each advertising campaign?
Answer: Again, please see the attached spreadsheet.
Question 4: How much was paid to individuals and influencers to advertise Transport for London on social media?
Answer: The information is not held. TfL does not pay ‘influencers’ directly for such activity and we therefore do not hold a record of how much they were paid.
