You asked

Dear Sir/Madam I am emailing you to,lodge an FOI request on the following. How much funding has TFL given to the London Borough of Newham for the upkeep of TFL roads within the borough and how much has been spent in the last three years. For clarification the FOI request is for BPRN roads under LB Newham Management. and the funding TFL have given LB Newham over the last 3 years,whether it be for general upkeep such as potholes or resurfacing.

Thank you for your clarified request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 February 2021 asking for information about TfL funding to the LB Newham for the general upkeep of Borough Principal Road Network Roads (BPRN) in the last three years.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Please see the details you’ve asked for in the table below.

The funds given to the Boroughs are allocated to the PRM (Principal Road Maintenance) programme using a needs based formula. This consists of road condition indices, length of BPRN carriageway by Borough and additional information such as collaborative works in order to determine priority and amount of funding.
