T.F.L. chair contract

Request ID: FOI-2240-1617
Date published: 12 July 2017

You asked

T.F.L. use a company called B.I.P. Solutions of Glasgow to co-ordinate the tendering process. We have been trying to contact them to discuss the purchase of the chairs, for its seems as though we offered more than the successful tenderer, who is Senator. We obviously want to purchase the chairs and find it strange that B.I.P. Solutions, who are not only representing The Mayor of London's office but also indirectly acting on behalf of the tax payer:for which the total value of the new and old chairs is quite considerable, does not respond to our enquiries. The contact we have is X and have sent her e mails and our offer of £20/chair. Please could you contact us to not only discuss the situation but also to clarify that we were the higher bidder hence me asking under the Freedom of Information Act.

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-2240-1617

Thank you for your email received by us on 14 February 2017 asking for information about our chair contract.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as we have no relationship with B.I.P. Solutions of Glasgow and we have never used them to co-ordinate any tendering activity. We have no plans to replace all of our chairs nor have we any plans to sell any chairs. We have not issued the opportunity out to the market on that basis.  Our internal client do not have any knowledge of such a tender.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
