Thank you for your email received by us on 14 February 2017 asking for information about Wetbourne Bridge and Edgware Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act  and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

Specifically, my query relates to the Westway (Exact Co-ordinates: 51.520049,-0.181171) between Wetbourne Bridge and Edgware Road.
Please can you send me:

1) A copy of your current road maintenance policy relating to that road. Please send me the full policy, but this should include details of the intended frequency of road safety inspections, how these inspections should be conducted and the maximum time between identification of a defect and repairs being carried out.

- dates of all safety inspections between 11/11/2016 to 11/01/2017

Attached is the Safety Inspection Report

- details of how safety inspections were undertaken (walked or driven, speed of inspection vehicle etc)

There are two people in the vehicle and it travels at a safe speed when inspecting, depending on the level of traffic.

- details of all carriageway defects identified, with description, date and time

o Crowning investigatory level - 50mm (area as NRSWA Code of Practice)
o Depression investigatory level - 50mm (area 2 sq.m)
o Rutting investigatory level - 20mm
o Gap/crack investigatory level - 20mm depth (20mm wide)
o Sunken ironwork investigatory level - 20mm level difference
o Oil/diesel spillage investigatory level - 300mm dia area
