Under the Freedom of information act, please may I request a copy of the latest tube map in the Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format. Please note I do not simply want the PDF file, I am requesting the ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR file! This is for educational purposes

Thank you for your email received on 11 February 2017 asking for a copy of the latest tube map in the Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format.

 

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

 

I can confirm that we do hold the information you require, however we are unable to supply the Tube map in Illustrator format as requested. Our master copy of the Tube map is held in .ai format, however we do not release it in this format, as it is copyright protected.

 

Whilst you have stated you require the map in this format for educational purposes only, disclosure of this information has to be regarded as a disclosure to ‘the public at large’.

 

Our obligation under the Freedom of Information Act is to provide you with the required information, rather than in a specific format, and the tube map is available to download from our website: https://tfl.gov.uk/maps/track/tube
