You asked
I wish to make a Freedom of Information Request regarding sexual assaults on public transport in Southwark under the Freedom of Information Act of 2000.
I would like to know the following:
a. The number of reported sexual assaults that took place on public transport in the most recent twelve month period. I.e. the number that happened on tubes/buses/trains travelling through Southwark.
b. The number of reported sexual assaults that took place at London Bridge, Borough, Elephant & Castle, and Southwark tube stations.
c. If possible, a breakdown in the age and ethnicity of the victims and perpetrators.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 November 2017 asking for information about sexual assaults on public transport in Southwark.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:
a. The number of reported sexual assaults that took place on public transport in the most recent twelve month period. I.e. the number that happened on tubes/buses/trains travelling through Southwark.
b. The number of reported sexual assaults that took place at London Bridge, Borough, Elephant & Castle, and Southwark tube stations.

TfL publishes quarterly and annual bulletins on crime and antisocial behaviour on the transport network. You can find this at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/crime-and-incident-bulletins.
For crime relating to buses, you should make a Freedom of Information request to the Metropolitan Police Service at www.met.polic.uk/foi. For crime on tubes and trains, you should make a Freedom of Information request to the British Transport Police (BTP) on www.btp.police.uk/foi.
