TfL Ref: 2206-1920
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 October 2019 asking for information about travel demand surveys.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked when the last unmet demand survey was carried out on behalf of the London licence taxi trade for Putney and Richmond.
The last survey undertaken in this area was at Putney Station in 2008.
Taxi ranks are a vital part of London's transport network and help ensure that taxi services can meet passenger demands. We have exceeded our target of a 20 per cent increase in the number of taxi ranks across London by 2020, a target committed to in our Ranks Action Plan. We continue to press for additional rank locations across London and work closely with local authorities and the taxi trade to determine suitable locations. Please note that we do not regularly undertake surveys at taxi ranks.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
