Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:
When were the temporary 40mph speed signs put up to mark the end of the temporarily reduced 30mph speed limit on A406 Gunnersbury Avenue nr Manor Grdns N/B W3 Direction N?
A temporary 30 mph speed restriction is in place on the A406, north of Chiswick roundabout. The limit on the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue has been reduced to 30mph from 40mph to ensure the safety of all road users and contractors working onsite to replace the Power Road Bridge. Signage for the temporary 30mph speed limit was installed in May 2015 to coincide with the commencement of works on the Power Road Bridge.
The temporary 30mph speed limit was extended under GLA/2016/0237 which extended the zone by 150m to just north of Park Place Drive. The signage relating to the extension of the temporary 30mph limit were installed signs over the 06, 07 and 08 June 2016.
