TfL Ref: FOI-2199-1617
Thank you for your email received by us on 09 February 2017 asking for tunnel information for the Jubilee line between Southwark/London Bridge.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The map clip attached shows the site in question with the indicative locations of the Jubilee line tunnels shown in grey. The broad lines are the running tunnels, the upper level of which is around 20m below Ordnance Datum (around 24m below street). The thin grey line is the approximate route of an ancillary tunnel linking these with the operational building at the bottom of the plan. There would be a restriction on building within 3m of any of these tunnels (thus affecting the location of any piled foundations) and any scheme requiring basements would require a full ground movement analysis to demonstrate the effect on the structure or shape of the tunnels.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
