TfL Ref: FOI-2180-2324
Thank you for your request which we received on 22 September 2023, asking for information about the Central line.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You specifically asked:
Can you provide details at what point the central line has to declare delays to the service? I have been advised that in zone 6, if there is no more than a twenty minute gap in between departures from Epping, this is considered a good service. This is despite the fact you can request a refund if your train is delayed by 15 minutes or more?!
Please find the attached document that is used to guide us on when to declare delay status for the Central line.
Can you provide information showing the frequency of departures from Epping into London for 2019 and then the same information for 2023 to date.
Please find the attached spreadsheets, showing the actual number of westbound trains that were operated, compared to the schedule on the Epping branch of the Central line using Theydon Bois as the measuring point. The time period provided is: 01/01/2019 - 31/12/2019 and 01/01/2023 - 31/08/2023
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
