Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you requested. You asked:

I would like know what the standard pass mark for the fault finding test is for the train operator role.

There is no set percentage mark for train operator fault finding.  Train operators are assessed against a varying set of criteria for fault finding.

At the end of the assessment, they are deemed as per our competence systems and rated:

  • Highly Commended
  • Met Standard
  • Met Standard – improvement required
  • Review

A review is in essence a  trigger for removal from a training programme.
