Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27 January 2021 asking for information about ULEZ.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

ULEZ charge was first introduced on the 8th April 2019.

    TfL publishes details of income and expenditure in its Annual Report and Statement of Accounts, which is available on our website at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/annual-report. Information about ULEZ income for the first full financial year of the scheme’s operation can be found on p124.

     

     

    ULEZ income is used to fund schemes set out in the Mayor’s Air Quality Strategy. Further information about the air quality schemes being delivered by TfL can be found in our published budgets and business plans, which are available on our website at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/business-plan.

     

     

  3. The data that shows how ULEZ has reduced overall pollution in London.

The GLA have published a report entitled Air Quality In London 2016-2020. This which was published in October 2020 and can be found at:

Chapter 5 of the report provides information on the impacts of the Central London Ultra Low Emission Zone.
