Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2 November 2017 asking for information about the proposed Bakerloo Line Extension (BLE) at Bricklayer’s Arms.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:

Please publish in full all studies and investigations that have been undertaken by TfL, or consultants employed by TfL, into the viability of an underground station on the Bakerloo Line extension at the location of the Bricklayer's Arms.

From February to April 2017 TfL undertook a public consultation on proposals to extend the Bakerloo line beyond Elephant & Castle to Lewisham, serving Old Kent Road and New Cross Gate. The work that TfL has completed to date on the potential locations for new stations is summarised in the Background to Consultation Report (February 2017) available on TfL’s website at https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/tube/bakerloo-extension/user_uploads/background-to-consultation-report-updated.pdf. In addition, the full assessment that was completed on station options for the Old Kent Road section of the route (February 2017) is attached in response to your request. TfL is now reviewing the responses received to the consultation and is currently undertaking further work on the station locations. A response to the issues raised in the consultation, including the potential for a new station at the Bricklayer’s Arms junction, is planned to be published in early 2018.
