You asked
Dear Transport for London, the current voice of the Piccadilly line is Julie Berry. From what I know, the 2024 stock trains will not have Julie's voice but instead would have an artificial voice named 'Elloise'. May I know why not keep using the current voice on the new trains? Yours faithfully,

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 October 2024 asking for information about announcements on the Piccadilly line.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
 
The new state-of-the-art Piccadilly line trains, which will start serving London from 2025, will use automated voice announcements that have been developed using our latest customer research. This will give us greater flexibility creating new announcements or amending existing ones and is more cost- and time-efficient.
