You asked
My other concern is the overall safety concerns that I have about TFL tube doors closing on people and objects. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as amended; how many incidents has TFL recorded/public complaints/investigation requests received on the Northern line in the past 6 months (23rd of June 2022 up to and including 23rd November 2022. I think the media/Health and Safety Executive/MP’s and Mayor of London should all know about this case. But I will await TFL’s response. Feel free though to escalate this matter internally to TFL’ s legal team/policy director for Health and Safety/any Union rep Officer

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 November 2022 asking for information about incidents on the Northern line.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked: how many incidents has TFL recorded/public complaints/investigation requests received on the Northern line in the past 6 months.
From 23 June 2022 up to and including 23 November 2022, 665 incidents regarding the Northern line were recorded in the record management system (IE2) used by London Underground operations. 25 of which relate to customers caught in carriage doors based on the description of the incidents provided by station staff who reported and recorded the incidents.
During the same period we received 43 complaints, where passengers or their clothing/possessions were caught in train doors on the Northern line. This total was obtained by conducting a search of Northern line complaints recorded as ‘Accidents, safety and security OR Fatality OR Seriously Injured, where the keyword “door” is mentioned.
