I am looking for some assistance with your organisation’s Spend/Transparency data, available on the following weblink: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/expenditure-over-250 There appears to be no file available for the month of Sep 2019. Could you advise when the file will be made available to view online? Would it be possible for you to email me a copy of the Sep 2019 file?

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 October 2019, asking for expenditure data for September 2019.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

However, in accordance with the FOI Act, TfL is not obliged to supply any of the information you have requested as it is subject to a statutory exemption to the right of access to information, under Section 22 of the Act.

The expenditure data for period 18 August to 14 September will be published in December, and 15 September to 12 October, which hasn’t been prepared yet, should be published in the week commencing 06 January in line with our agreed timelines of reporting.

In this instance the exemption has been applied as the information you have requested is intended for future publication. The information is currently being collated and validated to ensure accuracy and will be published on the above mentioned dates.  

The use of this exemption is subject to an assessment of the public interest in relation to the disclosure of the information concerned. TfL recognises the need for openness and transparency by public authorities and the particular public interest in disclosure of this information, However in this instance, it is considered that the public interest favours the publication of this information, in context and according to the pre-determined schedule, rather than in response to your request, to ensure the information is provided accurately and in an accessible manner.
