Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 02 November 2017 asking for information about Crossrail 2.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked for the following:

1.Would you detail the Change to the route from the previous alignment which are referred to and the new current proposed route

2.In particular, what is the “current proposed route” between Victoria and Clapham Junction?

We are not obliged to provide the requested information as it is subject to a statutory exception to the right of access to information under Regulation 12(4)(d) , which provides that a public authority may refuse to disclose information that relates to material which is in the course of completion, to unfinished documents or to incomplete data. The proposed route details, including any proposed alignment changes, and the consultation questions, are currently incomplete and will be published at the start of the next consultation, the date of which is to be confirmed.

This exception is subject to a public interest test, which requires us to assess whether the public interest in applying the exception outweighs the public interest in disclosure. In this instance, it is considered that the public interest favours the finalisation of the information, after all relevant factors can be taken into account, rather than the disclosure of information which does not accurately reflect any amendments that might still be made.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
