We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2118-2324
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16th September 2023 asking for information about DVS enforcement.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please can you advise as to whether TFL use LEZ/ULEZ cameras to monitor vehicles for compliance with the DVS standards and issue PCNs if they fail.
Please can also advise as to whether YUNEX/Siemens and TFL have home office approval for this use.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The cameras used to enforce the ULEZ/LEZ schemes are also used to provide enforcement for DVS.
The cameras and camera infrastructure do not require Home Office certification, although our system and network was constructed to a standard that would enable certification if it was required.
