We answered

Dear

TfL Ref: FOI-2104-1819

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 November 2018.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

Can you please tell me the date in which the AED equipment held at Covent Garden Underground station was installed, and where it is specifically located within the station? If the position of the equipment has been moved, please inform me of previous locations within the station and the date in which it was moved.

The AED at Covent Garden station was fitted in November 2013, prior to this date there was no AED at this site. It’s positioned in the ticket hall area as per the original scope. We are not aware that it has been moved since installation.

Can you also please tell me when the last time the number of AED devices held in London underground stations was reviewed and if there are any plans to increase the number currently held.

The core goal has always been to get one AED at every tube station.

At this time there is currently no funding available to place additional AEDs on the combine in the immediate future, although there are options being explored in collaboration with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to see if funds can be made available from other sources.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
