Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21st November 2022 asking for information about passenger numbers entering and exiting Crossrail stations (operating as the ‘Elizabeth Line’).
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please can you tell me where the data is for passenger numbers entering and exiting Crossrail stations? I want to compare what the current data to historic data from a few years ago.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

If you click the “Understood - take me to the reports” box at the bottom of the page and then the “Demand by Station Type” box you will find entry and exit data going back to January 2020 for all central section Elizabeth Line stations (there is a list of stations on the right of the page - selecting a station will show the data for that station alone). The data can be filtered by day or a date range, and filtered by entries, exits or both combined (by using the tabs at the top of the page).
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
If you cannot find the data you need please let me know what further information is required (including the name of specific stations and specific dates, which were not provided in your origjnal request).
