We answered
Our ref: FOI-2095-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 January 2021 asking for General Arrangement signal drawings.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do not hold the information you requested. You asked:

We do not hold single General Arrangement drawings for signals used on London Underground. The signals vary considerably depending on the number of aspects, the type of signal (mainline, repeater or fog), the required sighting distance, whether the signal is in a tunnel or outside, the type of illumination device and to some extent the age of the signal. Transport for London does not design signals, instead we purchase an “off the shelf” industry standard product that meets the criteria noted above.
Please note that with the ongoing modernisation programmes we are eliminating trackside signals so demand for this type of product is very limited.
If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
Melissa Nichols
