We answered
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 31 October 2017 asking for a list of all breakdowns and faults that have caused delays to TFL Rail services.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please see the attached table showing the information requested. The breakdowns and faults shown are fairly isolated incidents and that the vast majority of the time the trains do run well.
We began introducing the new trains on TfL Rail, between Liverpool Street and Shenfield, in June 2017. The trains underwent significant testing before being introduced, but as is to be expected with a new fleet, there have been some minor issues that only occur when in full passenger use. For that reason all new trains are introduced gradually. The new trains are used for a number of journeys on the route each day.
We have been working closely with Bombardier, who build and maintain the trains, to ensure that any issues are dealt with promptly. This has included some software upgrades and modifications to the door settings and signalling software.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
