Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 January 2021 asking for information about fencing.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and our Information Access Policy. You asked:

I would like to know if TFL provided the replacement fencing between the railway and Messant Close flats RM3 0WP in the summer of 2020.

TfL are only responsible for the maintenance of the wooden fence that lies above the gabion wall (rock wall that is west of flats 9-61 Messant Close – please see attached plan). The fence was built by TfL in Spring 2019.

Any wooden fence beyond the TfL maintenance area is the responsibility of the local land owner (freeholder).
