Thank you for your requests received on 6 November 2018 asking for information about collisions in 2016 and 2017.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

Please can you tell me:

1. How many cyclists became casualties on Greater London roads in 2016?
2. How many cyclists died?
3. How many children became casualties on Greater London roads in 2016?
4. How many children died?

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

1. How many people, i.e. pedestrians and cyclists, became casualties of hit and run in Greater London in 2017?

There were a total of 6,536 casualties from collisions involving hit and run in 2017, all modes.

2. How many died?

There were 18 fatal casualties.

3. How many children became victims of hit and run in Greater London in 2017?

There were 402 child casualties from collisions involving hit and run in 2017.

4. How many of them died?

There were no fatal child casualties from collisions involving hit and run in 2017.
