Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 October 2017 asking for information about buses.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The total number of buses operating as part of TfL's contracted London bus fleet, per year for the last ten years.
Fleet information from 2011 is available from our website here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/fleet-audit-30-june-2017-final.pdf
Prior to this time we have a we only hold limited information which is shown in the table below. (PVR stands for peak vehicle requirement).
The total number from among each annual total of buses, per year for the last ten years, operating within the congestion charge zone.
We do not hold data in a way which would readily tell us about the bus types that operated in the Congestion Charge Zone for the past 10 years. However, our latest published data on the link above shows the routes and for the past couple of years you may be able to work this out by identifying the bus routes into the CC area and using the data from the link.
The total number of vehicles operating in TfL's support fleet, per year, for the last ten years.
Please see the table below for TfL’s support fleet of vans, cars and HGV’s.
