Dear Sirs, I should be grateful if you would provide information in response to the below requests: 1. Confirmation of the date from which the speed limit on the A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B was reduced from 30 mph to 20 mph; 2. The number of drivers who have been caught speeding between the range of 25 to 30 mph on the A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B after this date; 3. The number of drivers who have been caught speeding between the range of 30 to 35 mph A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B after this date. I look forward to receiving a response.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 November 2022 asking for information about speed limit contraventions on the A3212 near Vauxhall Bridge, London.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:

1. Confirmation of the date from which the speed limit on the A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B was reduced from 30
mph to 20 mph;

Please see the attached Traffic Orders for further information. We can advise that Traffic Order 218, which came into force on 11 October 2021, specifying a 20 miles per hour limit, was later revoked and added to Traffic Order 068, which came into force on 9 April 2022. The latter also specifies a speed limit of 20 miles per hour, covering all of the Transport for London Road Network highways in the City of Westminster borough.

2. The number of drivers who have been caught speeding between the range of 25 to 30 mph on the A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B after this date;

3. The number of drivers who have been caught speeding between the range of 30 to 35 mph A3212 nr Vauxhall Bridge W/B after this date.

Transport for London does not hold this information as the Metropolitan Police are responsible for the enforcement of speed offences.
