I am in the process of buying a property on Claylands Road, Kennington, and was alerted to a TFL proposal to put a ventilation shaft either on the green space there, or nearby. I found on your webpages that in 2011 the public consultation preference was 'for the garages on Cottingham Road. In response to feedback, we are exploring alternative options for this site'. Please can you tell me what the settled alternative is? How close will the shaft be to Claylands Road?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 November 2018 asking for information about the Northern Line Extension.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

The information you refer to was some early consultation material, which proposed a third shaft at Claylands Road.  However the project is only delivering two ventilations shafts, located at Kennington Park and Kennington Green.
