Selective Door Opening Contract Cost

Request ID: FOI-2032-1718
Date published: 21 November 2017

You asked

I wouold like to obtain information on what it cost to implement selective door opening in the London Underground. Specifically, I would like to obtain a copy of the contract(s) with the vendor, but if that is not possible any information that would help me calculate what it cost to install the capability on either a per car, per train and/or per line basis or even on an overall basis.

Our ref: FOI-2032-1718/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 October 2017 asking for information about the Selective Door Opening Contract Cost.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. The legacy fleets with selective door opening were delivered to us like that (e.g. 95TS, 96TS) and in some cases have been decommissioned. We therefore do not hold details of the cost or contract specifically for the selective door opening.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
