TfL Business Plan info

Request ID: FOI-2030-1617
Date published: 08 April 2017

You asked

Having read the latest TfL Business Plan I would like to request some information that is missing from the latest plan despite having been provided in earlier Business Plans. The information I would like is a) the planned annual kilometrage to be operated by London Overground. b) the planned annual kilometrage to be operated by Docklands Light Railway. c) the planned annual kilometrage to be operated by TfL Rail / Crossrail. In each case for each year covered by the Dec 2016 Business Plan (2016/17 - 2021/22). I would also like to request that TfL provide the agreed alternative presentation of bus network costs. This was requested by the London Assembly Transport Committee as recommendation no.6 in their Oct 2013 report on Bus Services. TfL accepted this recommendation and agreed to publish the information regularly. This was not done in the Dec 2016 Business Plan. For the record I am referring to the info in Table 9, page 79 of the TfL Business Plan 2014. I would also like to know why TfL did not publish this information given the commitment made to the Assembly Transport Committee.

I would also like to know why TfL did not publish this information given the commitment made to the Assembly Transport Committee.

Our goal is to ensure that we publish transparent and accessible finance information. A key component of doing so is ensuring that we report our financial information in a consistent manner. Therefore we have published the Bus Subsidy table as requested but this has been completed on a consistent base with the Business Plan Bus Financial Table on page 53.

You should note that the only variable to the previously reported bus subsidy table is that the new table includes Indirect Costs.

The decision was taken to report on a consistent base for all Business areas in the Business Plan and therefore the Bus Subsidy Table was not provided as per the Business Plan 2014.

Please see the attached information in response to your request.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
