FOI request detail

Speed limit change on Edith Grove

Request ID: FOI-2014-2324
Date published: 18 September 2023

You asked

I was previously advised that the speed limit on Edith Grove was going to be reduced from 30mph to 20mph from 1.9.2023. However, this has not happened and I need to know the situation in this regard. Cars and very noisy motorbikes tear down this street, which has no speed cameras and no noise pollution detectors late at night, which is very dangerous and disruptive to sleep.

We answered

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8th September 2023 asking for information about the speed limit on Edith Grove.

Specifically you asked:

I have liaised with relevant colleagues and they are not entirely certain where the date of 1st September 2023 you cite comes from. However, that said, note that works started on site last week and are making good progress. The 20mph limit should be in place by early November.
