Please can you tell me how much electricity was used running empty trains before stations opened on the recent RMT/TSSA strike on 8/9 Jan 17.

Thank you for your email received on 17 January 2017 asking for information about how much electricity was used running empty trains before stations opened on the recent RMT/TSSA strike on 8 and 9 January 2017.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. 

 

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. Although we can calculate the average cost of electricity per train km, (97p per km, averaged across all lines and including all stock types), we do not hold a figure for the cost of moving each individual train on the specified date.
