Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2 December 2021 asking for information about the ticket machines currently in use at London Underground and Docklands Light Railway stations. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: Please can you supply a list of all ticket machines currently in use at London Underground and Docklands Light Railway stations. The list should include the machine number of each machine that is shown as a 2-digit number at the bottom of tickets and on ticket machines.
Please note by ‘ticket machine’ we understand that to refer to any machine which can be used to purchase a travel ticket/Oyster card – this is what we refer to as a retail device.
Please see attached a list of the retail devices, location and device number we have across all our London Underground stations.
For the DLR, please see the list attached. The TVM machines on the DLR are for purchasing tickets and for toping up existing oyster cards (but not for purchasing new oyster cards). Please note that for the DLR, the two digit code on the ticket does not correspond with the issuing machine.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
