Our ref: FOI-1998-2021/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 January 2021 asking for further information about the Workshop on Bus Stop Bypasses.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

The presentations are attached, along with the meeting note that was produced following the meeting and shared with attendees.

The meeting was recorded, but it was agreed with the participants that this was strictly for internal use only and is therefore exempt from disclosure under section 41 of the FOI Act. The information pack, sent to all attendees (and provided to you in our previous response) states:

Recording of the meeting to be shared (with members permission and for TfL internal

purposes only)

The information has been provided to us under no obligation, for the purpose of knowledge sharing with a view to establishing best practice and potential areas for improvement. Releasing the recording of the workshop after it had been made with an agreement of confidentiality, and therefore without the participants consent would eliminate the option for this safe space and exchange of views which would harm our relationship with the attendees. We have a duty of confidence to attendees handling their information and if this information were to be disclosed it would affect our ability to conduct such workshops in future as they would be likely to equate contributing with information to being akin to release to the general public. This could lead to us being provided with only limited information or no information at all. This would clearly have a detrimental effect on our ability to have open and frank discussions with other parties in the future.

We do not hold a text version of the workshop.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
