TfL Ref: FOI-1995-2324 Thank you for your request which we received on 6 September 2023, asking for information about legal costs paid to TfL. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Please provide me with the amounts of monies owed to, or paid to TFL by claimants/appellants resulting from: (1) A10/Bishopsgate case £50,000 was paid to TfL on account of its costs. We are pursuing recovery of the remaining costs which are to be assessed by the Court if not agreed between the parties. (2) Transopco licence challenge The High Court did not make an Order for costs in the judicial review proceedings. (3) Transopco licence appeal case £40,000 was paid to TfL on account of its costs. We are pursuing recovery of the remaining costs which are to be assessed by the Court if not agreed between the parties. Additionally did TFL seek guarantees that claimants/appellants have the ability to pay TFL any costs resulting from the above cases We did not apply to the Court to seek an order for security for costs against the applicants/appellants in these proceedings.
