Thank you for your request received on 29 October 2018 asking for information about the bus stop on Clerkenwell Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

Could you please confirm whether anyone has been on site to consider locating the bus stop West of it's Previous Location? Please also confirm whether you will be looking in to this option further?

As stated in the response to your internal review, ‘if your concern is whether it has been considered to move the bus stop west from its new location, then this is addressed in the response to questions 1 and 2 above, where by this option is not possible owing to the overrunning of vehicles turning right from Saffron Hill as described.

However if your question relates to moving the bus stop west from its previous location, this is also addressed above as it is not possible to relocate the bus stop further away from this area owing to the key interchange it provides for bus passengers and proximity to Farringdon station.’

As we have already looked at this option we will not be looking into it further.
