The new signalling system, along with the other usual problems, has meant that Metropolitan line users have endured an outrageously appalling level of service within the past few months. Please could you therefore compile and send to me data showing where TfL have stated that there are Minor OR Severe Delays on the line, since 1 August 2019.

Thank you for your request received on 1 October 2019 asking for information about train delays.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you requested. You asked:

The new signalling system, along with the other usual problems, has meant that Metropolitan line users have endured an outrageously appalling level of service within the past few months.

Please could you therefore compile and send to me data showing where TfL have stated that there are Minor OR Severe Delays on the line, since 1 August 2019.

Please find attached the information you requested. The data is based on the Service Status as recorded by the London Underground Control Centre.

We are aware that recent service on the Metropolitan line hasn’t been what customers should expect. We have experienced operational incidents unrelated to the new signalling system, including trespassers on the tracks,  which have caused this disruption. Good progress is being made with embedding the new signalling system, which will mean a more frequent service at peak times from 2023.
